- The first morning, I was woken up by Afrcian singing nuns and birds in a tree, I wouldn't have expected any less
- Local beer is cheap! At current exchange for a .63L it's only about $0.50!!
- On the subject of beer, you can get Guinness here. It's twice as much as La Beninoise (the cheap beer)
- Food is pretty good, almost every meal has onions though (which is fine for me, since I love onions). Last night we were served a half avocado with tomato and onion with some sort of dressing in it, couscous with some sauce and bread. Very good!
- It's pretty warm and humid here, probably around 80F/80%. Strangely enough I'm getting used to it fairly quickly
- There is only one temperature in the shower: cold. Yet, I feel lucky to have a shower at this point, and it feels good anyway after sweating all night
- I meet my host family on Thursday.
- Our mountain bikes are freakin' sweet

All in all things are going really well and I'm looking forward to see what is to come.
